A lifeline for our family

As a family, we can't thank EduDiverse enough for the support and alternative education they provided. When things weren't looking good and our child could no longer cope in the school environment, a lifeline and alternative to school happened. It took time to settle but the staff allowed him time to grow in a safe provision, and eventually trust was gained and our child opened up. We had bumps along the way, but support was always there, no judgements were made. So many opportunities and skills were learnt. With this provision, he has grown and is now excelling in a post 16 environment.

We can't thank you and your team enough, your additional help and support to the family was a godsend.

Support that transformed a life

We have been working with EduDiverse since January 2023. The young person who has needed this service has benefited enormously from all the activities and support provided. James quickly developed a positive relationship with the young person and understood his needs accordingly. The service has been really well set up and organised with effective and efficient communications. The young person has thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, been out and about in all weathers, learned things they didn’t even know existed and skills they didn’t know they had in them – and in addition been absolutely tired out! He’s literally got the t-shirt to prove it too.

Building confidence, inside and out

L has been consistently enthusiastic about his sessions with EduDiverse. The activities matched his interests as well as allowing him to try out new experiences whilst feeling safe and supported. The positive and encouraging approach of all staff was key in allowing him to feel settled enough to attempt activities outside his comfort zone. L self-esteem was significantly improved and he felt valued by the staff who took time to build a kind and caring relationship with him. L has not had previous experience of male adults being consistently calm and taking an interest in his thoughts and feelings. This was something he noted to the adults back in school.

EduDiverse provided a learning environment that entirely suited his needs and allowed him to flourish. Back in school, we noticed a big improvement in L’s behaviour and an increased resilience around remaining , at least for some of the day, in a classroom setting. As a result of this L is now attempting some of the work set in lessons. His attention for an adult led task is increased, although he will not yet complete work without adult support and encouragement. L has now made good friendships in school and can have a 2 way conversation with both adults and peers. We feel this progress has been in part built on his EduDiverse experience.

Thanks very much for the care and support you offered L.
